Name: Ricky Gramstorff

Age: 21

School You Are Attending: Rhode Island College

Major/Focus: English - Creative Writing

Occupation: Front End Supervisor at Ocean State Job Lot

What is your role in the committee?: Co-Founder/Co-Chairman/Webmaster

Has your life been affected by Autism?: It was not initially at all impacted by autism until I had met Adam, which is what helped spark our interest in beginning the show that led to the organization. I think autism is an important subject, both in the scientific and the social world. So many children are born with it, and many lead extremely normal lives. From a scientific standpoint, many of these people are very gifted individuals, often possessing amazing capabilities. Take for example Albert Einstein, he was autistic and created the Theory of Relativity! I think overall, my life is strongly impacted by autism today, and I hope to make a difference to allow children affected by autism a chance to see just how extraordinary they are.

How many years have you been involved?: From the beginning, with some time off in between. I returned to my role as co-chair in 2013 and have not regretted it since.

What motivates you?: Knowing that we can make the difference in at least one person's life, that makes everything worth it, 100% of the time.
